Brün Tennar acquired the premises, retained the existing sign and accepted the administrative consequences. The Institute appeared later and has remained operational mostly through accumulated machinery, practical judgment and a sustained refusal to replace useful things merely because their labels have faded.

His role is institutional continuity rather than ceremonial leadership. Systems may be repaired, bridged, documented or left alone; strange solutions are acceptable when they work and remain intelligible to the next person standing beside the cabinet.
