Scope of this licence

The BSD 3-Clause License applies only to Tennar Institute-authored software where explicitly indicated by an SPDX identifier or licence reference.

It does not automatically govern music, recordings, images, covers, lore, archival material or third-party components. Third-party components retain their existing licences and notices.

“Tennar Confederates” is a personal/project affiliation, not a management title or legal ownership designation.

Rights and Media Notice — Separate from the BSD Terms

This notice clarifies the scope of the Tennar Institute website. It does not form part of, restrict or modify the BSD 3-Clause License. For software expressly released under BSD-3-Clause, the BSD terms below remain complete and controlling.

Michael Albertsen and Tennar Institute, insofar as either owns, controls or is authorized to administer the relevant rights, retain those rights in original material not expressly released under BSD-3-Clause or another identified licence. Material does not become free to copy, republish, distribute, adapt, remix or use commercially merely because it can be viewed, read, streamed or otherwise accessed through the website.

The Institute may give express permission for identified material and identified forms of use. Where such permission is given, and only to the extent the Institute owns, controls or is authorized to license the relevant rights and impose attribution as a condition, the permission may require clear credit to Tennar Institute and the identified human author or contributor. Attribution alone is not permission.

Rights in AI-generated and AI-assisted material are determined by applicable law, contracts and platform terms. The Institute does not claim exclusive copyright in purely AI-generated material where no such copyright exists. It may document provenance and conditions of use and may license only rights it owns, controls or is authorized to grant. No attribution obligation is asserted merely because material is AI-generated or is available through the Institute website.

Where an individual Tennar FM item is identified in the active catalogue and associated provenance records as Original Tennar FM / Suno Pro-created material. Used by rights holder., the Institute records that item as generated under a qualifying paid subscription with the corresponding commercial-use rights, subject to the Suno terms applicable to that item. This does not guarantee copyright in the output. Nothing in this notice automatically permits a third party to download, republish, distribute, sublicense, remix or commercially exploit such a file. Any express permission remains limited by applicable Suno terms, third-party rights and applicable law. Items with different or incomplete provenance are not covered by this statement and remain governed by their specific rights records.

Third-party music, performances, recordings, samples, software, fonts, images and other materials remain subject to their respective rights, licences and notices. Nothing on this page overrides rights or terms that the Institute does not control.

Nothing in this notice states or implies that Tennar FM is automatically exempt from Koda, Gramex or other applicable statutory or collective rights administration. Any such obligation depends on applicable law, the relevant repertoire and the particular form of use. This notice describes only the Institute’s own rights and permissions it can lawfully give.
